About Lukas

Lukas specializes in helping families determine not just where a student can get in, but where they should go. His work focuses on a critical part of the process that is often overlooked: long-term fit.

Growing up, he often helped his parents run the family business after school, which taught him early on that important decisions require careful reasoning. Balancing these responsibilities also meant that, when it came to his own university applications, he lacked the time and energy to approach the process properly. That later motivated him to help other students deal with the process.

Outside of his work, Lukas enjoys cycling and has a strong interest in Western literature.

Lukas has been guiding students through European university applications for over six years, with particular depth in the Dutch and German systems.

Lukas has particular depth in the Dutch and German university systems and experience helping students compare options across multiple European countries and institutions.

Students Lukas Works Especially Well With

Lukas works particularly well with families who feel overwhelmed by the number of options available and get easily distracted by the big numbers.

He is especially effective when a student needs help comparing multiple countries and institutions and turning a broad set of possibilities into a clear long-term direction.

Approach to Counseling

Lukas places special emphasis on helping students compare multiple countries and institutions simultaneously, and he knows firsthand how easy it is to get lost in rankings and gut feelings.

Rather than focusing purely on university reputation, he helps families evaluate how well each option fits the student’s profile and long-term direction.

He is known for being clear and direct. His goal is not only to help students gain admission, but to ensure they make a choice they will not regret later down the line.

Education and Professional Background

Lukas studied International Business Administration at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
