A complete strategy for reaching the right European university

Entering the right European university takes more than looking at rankings and submitting a strong application.

SAJU adapts the journey and the decisions behind it to the student’s current profile, academic direction, goals, and stage.

Your counselor coordinates what matters at each stage, from initial exploration and profile development through applications, enrollment, and the first months abroad, so students and families never have to navigate the process alone.

OUR PROCESS

One complete journey, tailored to the student

The SAJU journey is organized around five core stages:

Admissions Diagnostic · Exploration · Preparation · Application · Transition

These stages form the underlying structure of what we do, but they are not rigid boxes. Their emphasis and timing adapt to the student’s starting point, existing profile, priorities, and deadlines.

01

Admissions Diagnostic

Understand where the student stands relative to their goals and establish the right priorities.

The journey begins by building a clearer picture of the student’s academics, interests, current profile, university preferences, and longer term direction.

Before the session, the student completes the University Fit Assessment. During the Diagnostic, a SAJU advisor interprets those results, identifies important gaps, discusses realistic options, and begins turning a complex set of possibilities into a clearer strategy.

Students may also provide a CV or transcript for a more accurate Diagnostic, but these are not required.

WHY SAJU

The SAJU Difference

Every student is matched with the counselor most suited to their profile.

That counselor is responsible for understanding the full picture, including academics, interests, goals, current profile, university strategy, and application progress.

The strategy is tailored around the individual student rather than passed between disconnected departments or applied from a template.

We do not chase prestige for its own sake.

University recommendations consider the student’s academic strengths, ambitions, learning preferences, career direction, cost, risk, and personal goals.

Sometimes the best choice is the highest ranked option. Sometimes it is not.

Our responsibility is to help families understand the difference.

Counselor judgment is supported by SAJU’s proprietary university dataset, structured student information, and University Fit Assessment.

Together, these tools allow us to explore a broader range of potential options and compare them more systematically, while keeping the final strategy personal, contextual, and grounded in the individual student.

The data expands the possibilities. The counselor determines what actually makes sense.

Tasks, deadlines, documents, and counselor feedback are managed through SAJU’s proprietary platform, helping students and families understand what needs to happen next and who owns each step.

Parents remain aligned through periodic progress review meetings with their dedicated counselor, allowing them to stay informed without having to micromanage the process themselves.

One counselor owns the overall strategy, but that does not mean one person has to provide every perspective.

Where there is a fit, SAJU can connect students with mentors, researchers, professionals, and specialists across academic and professional fields.

These conversations allow students to understand what different disciplines and careers actually look like in practice, including the day to day realities that are difficult to learn from a university brochure.

That perspective can help students make better informed decisions about their academic direction by connecting what they plan to study with the kind of career and work they may ultimately want to pursue.

For eligible students, SAJU can integrate a Flagship Project into the broader admissions strategy.

Students work one to one with mentors from top tier institutions such as MIT, ETH Zurich, and EPFL, turning an academic interest into tangible work through an intensive eight week mentorship.

This gives students an uncommon opportunity to differentiate themselves from applicants whose profiles may contain strong grades and conventional extracurricular activities, but little evidence of independent intellectual initiative or substantial original work.

Students who complete the mentorship obtain a reference letter and are recommended to the institutions they apply to by the mentor who directly supervised their work.

Flagship Projects are recommended only when there is genuine strategic value and enough runway for the student to develop something meaningful.

Our relationship does not end when an offer arrives.

SAJU supports students through final university decisions, visa and housing guidance, relocation preparation, and their transition into life abroad.

Where possible, we also help connect students with people already studying, living, or working around their new university or city, giving them an early point of connection within the local community.

The goal is simple: no student or family should feel that they are suddenly on their own once admission is secured.

BUILT AROUND WHERE YOUR CHILD IS NOW

The same complete journey. A different emphasis for every starting point.

Every SAJU student moves through the same core journey: Admissions Diagnostic, Exploration, Preparation, Application, and Transition.

What changes is the emphasis placed on each area.

A student beginning several years before university has greater room to explore different interests, test possible directions, and deliberately develop a stronger profile. For a student joining at a later stage, application strategy and execution naturally take greater priority as deadlines approach.

SAJU develops a tailored strategy around the student’s current profile, goals, and stage, not a generic curriculum determined by grade alone.

Grade 9

More runway for exploration and development

Students have more room to explore several possible academic directions, compare university systems, test interests, and develop meaningful experiences over time.

The emphasis is typically greater on exploration, strong foundations, and purposeful profile development, without forcing premature decisions about a final major or university list.

Grade 10Turn exploration into more deliberate direction

Students explore academic and career possibilities while beginning to narrow promising directions and connect them to a more purposeful academic and extracurricular strategy.

Where useful, we can also connect students with professionals in relevant fields, helping them understand what different academic and career paths actually look like beyond the classroom.

There remains meaningful room to strengthen the student’s profile, develop substantial work, and begin forming a preliminary view of suitable universities.

Grade 11Make the strategy more concrete

The journey becomes more concentrated and decision driven.

We validate majors, countries, and university fit where needed. Decisions now need to become more concrete, with greater emphasis on identifying target universities, understanding application requirements, closing meaningful profile gaps, and preparing the student for the application period ahead.

Grade 12Prioritize what can still make a meaningful difference

Strategy becomes faster, more selective, and execution heavy.

We still assess direction, university fit, and positioning rather than jumping blindly into applications.

From there, we focus on what can materially improve the outcome, compress exploration where necessary, position what the student has already built, and prioritize high quality application execution.

For students joining earlier in Grade 12, targeted profile development can be applied where there is genuine runway and strategic value. For later stage students, we focus on positioning existing strengths and executing applications well rather than creating artificial activities simply to make the profile look busier.

FLAGSHIP PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Turn a personal interest into tangible impact that sets the student apart

For eligible students, SAJU can integrate Flagship Project development into the broader admissions strategy.

During this process, the student and counselor first determine what the project should consist of and why, based on the student’s academic interests, intended direction, profile gaps, and university strategy.

The student is then matched with a specialist mentor from SAJU’s international network and works one to one over approximately eight weeks to develop a tangible piece of work.

Projects can range from scientific research and software development to entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, design, engineering, and other fields.

Throughout the process, students work through research, development, feedback, and refinement while building skills that extend well beyond the application itself and beyond what is typically expected in the standard curriculum for someone their age.

Students who complete the mentorship obtain a reference letter and a recommendation to the institutions they apply to from the mentor who directly supervised their work.
